Adventures in VHS is the original VHS podcast, established back in 2012 and leading to the book of the same name which was published in 2016.
In each episode of the Adventures in VHS podcast, Noel selected one big box, ex-rental tape from his burgeoning collection, to review the release, the trailers and of course the movie itself – and often speaking to some of the people involved with making it.
The podcast was created to support the Adventures in VHS book, which was published and released in a short print run in 2016, with the digital version available through all the usual outlets. In 2020, Noel put the digital version of the book out for free online and added all 20 of the podcast episodes to a new archive (see below) for people to revisit.

The full Adventures in VHS podcast archive, from the initial 18 shows supporting the book, to the one-off, feature length documentary The Mancunian Man, focused on the life and work of VHS pioneer Cliff Twemlow. There’s also a never-before-released bonus ‘mini cast’.
